Fundamental as a first step in maintaining healthy teeth and gums.

Correct brushing requires at least 5 minutes, and it is necessary to brush the teeth with the proper technique and after each meal.

Of the three brushes that should be done during the day, the most important and effective is the brushing of before going to sleep, as it keeps our mouths clean for many hours.

Technique for a correct brushing of teeth:

It is necessary that the brush is new and does not have the tips of the bristles bent.

To brush the external surfaces of the teeth, incline the brush 45ยบ to the tooth and try to make the tips of the brush hint into the gum.

In this position and with a vibratory and circular movement, move through the teeth.

In this way we can remove the plaque and food remains on the surface of the tooth, just as you can clean the gingival groove (limit of gingiva with the tooth).

The movements are repeated in all the dental surfaces (external, internal and between the teeth) without leaving any.

A correct way would be to start with the upper teeth and then move on to the lower ones. It is very important to start cleaning the last tooth on one side and go passing one by one until you reach the last tooth on the other side so that you do not leave any tooth uncrushed .

To clean the inner surfaces of the anterior teeth it is very useful to pick up the brush vertically and make upward and downward movements and vibratory movements.

Also important is to perform a brushing of the tongue. It is very important to keep the gingiva limit with the tooth very clean to avoid gingivitis and periodontal disease.

If daily brushing does not remove plaque, it produces toxins that irritate gingival tissue, causing gingivitis. Untreated gingivitis can become periodontitis and cause permanent damage to your teeth and jaw. So regular schedules and checks with your dentist are feasible.

Technique to keep the gingival groove clean:

Brush your teeth and notice the feeling that the tips of the brush enter the gingival sulcus. In this position perform small vibratory and circular movements.

The gingival points that bleed are those that are infected and in which it is possible to insist the brushing until they stop bleeding. In case of gingival bleeding use toothpaste containing cloth examine to eliminate the infection.
